1-on-1 Support for Musicians
Planning, funding and managing your music project can be a challenge - professional help is available for you!
One-on-one support for writing grant applications
The other day, my friend Dave Burgener (MusicNSW) stopped by the studio for a chat and a cuppa. We spoke about our many common friends and what's going on in the music scene in the north of NSW.
It turns out that Dave and his team have supported some of my friends and studio clients with planning, funding and supporting their tours. Amazing!
Have you ever considered applying for a music grant, but found the writing task just too daunting?
Dave offers one-on-one consultation to support you with grant applications, regional touring, and reaching out to venues.
MusicNSW also has a heap of resources like a Funding Calendar to find out what grants are available, the Regional Touring Network website to find regional venues, and recently launched a series of resources for First Nations Artists.
Dave won't write the application for you, but he can help you get started and get the ball rolling. Don't be shy, schedule an appointment with Dave and tap into his wisdom.
And I can help you with planning your music project. Let's catch up for a chat and a cuppa too, so you can tell me all about your music project and your plans for the release.
I can help you sketch a pre-production plan, give advice on best music production practices for your unique project, appropriate time allocations and -of course- budgeting.
February was a busy month at the Mix Artist studio: A 13-song album was recorded, and another 6-song album was mixed.
Some amazing musical magic happened in our studio rooms, with a band recording across all our 3 live rooms, and the control, and the piano room where the studio's piano and the electric organ got a proper workout.
Also, our freelance engineer Saphia Smereka brought her amazing Gretsch drum kit (previously owned by Nicky Bomba) to the studio. Contact us to discuss which of our drum kits is best suited for your music!
